It's been a while since we received any major updates for Dying Light, but that doesn't mean we're not working on them! As such, we're extremely pleased to share the details of the upcoming V1.4.0 patch which will include various balancing changes and improvements to the gameplay experience, with a focus on co-op. We've also upgraded our engine with a new renderer and camera system - both of which will bring even more stunning visuals to your screen. All in all these improvements should make Co-op easier and more enjoyable for everyone playing Dying Light together. We're also adding some cool extra's to the mix. Enhanced Community Tools - such as an in-game Global Event messaging system - will make it easier for players to connect with each other and make new friends, while an all-new mode is available for those who want more of a challenge. We'll provide more details on this mode soon! Aside from these features, we've also overhauled many of the game's mechanics based on player feedback - such as fixing the overall balance of weapons, especially co-op weapons; adding Scopes to certain weapons; taking steps against exploits; tweaking the gameplay related to inventory management; improving the overall experience with NPCs (such as Be The Zombie) and many more. As always, we'll continue to listen to our community and look forward to your feedback! There's a lot there, and we'll be revealing more details throughout the coming weeks. First of all, let's delve into the major changes: Weapon Balance Changes: Overall weapon balance has been tweaked in order to make every weapon type more fun and effective. These changes apply to both single player and co-op games. You asked for it; we delivered - scopes are here! Now you can see exactly how far away your targets are before deciding whether or not to take them down with your sniper rifle. For co-op multiplayer games, we've added Supply Crates that will spawn in several locations throughout the game. These crates contain weapons, tools, and other helpful items for you and your buddies. The game has received a number of gameplay tweaks to improve player experience. It is now much harder to climb ledges when in certain states (such as being hit or tired out), while NPCs will try to keep you safe in certain situations (particularly when in the process of opening/closing doors). Stability has been improved for several missions (including all three Act I missions) due to various fixes related to stability, optimisation and online connectivity issues. Overall, there's a lot to share and we'll explain these changes and more as we continue into the next weeks. In the meantime, you can check out the full patch notes below: Additions: Added new Community Tools including an in-game Global Event messaging system - allowing players to notify others of upcoming events, locations and much more. For instance, if you want to announce that a friend has also unlocked a specific weapon skin, you can now easily do that from within Dying Light! We'll be adding many cool extra's in a future patch. cfa1e77820
